The private investigation agency of “Investigreat, LLC”, located in Long Island City, NY & Jamaica, NY and their Connecticut location, referred to as “Investigreat 2, LLC” are being investigated. Or rather, they HAVE been investigated. The investigator has become the subject. We knew it was only a matter of time before this would happen and our day has finally come. Actually, in the spirit of transparency, this is not the only time we have been investigated. Here are two of the times that we know about thus far:
It started with a company online called “Starter Story”. We were online one day doing what we often do – searching the web to see what was out there about us and/or our company. (We highly recommend that everyone do this on themselves from time to time. It is the best way to know what is out there on the web.) That is when we came across an article on a website that mentioned us. The site was www.starterstory.com. We were curious as to how our name was suddenly attached to this company, so we did what any other P.I. would do in this situation – we investigated. We came to discover that, unbeknownst to us, this company had researched us, along with all the other (or at least most of the other) Private Investigators from all over the world to see how we all measured up.
According to the article in which this was discussed, they had a specific list of criteria from which everyone was judged. This included the following:
- Website rank
- Traffic data
- What the website looked like
Based on this list, they had narrowed down all of the Private Investigative Firms in the World to just a chosen few. We found, to our surprise, that we were chosen #12 in the world. Can you believe that! We were just as surprised. (In fact, since that day, we found out that we actually went up one more slot to #11.) We were beyond excited to receive such an outstanding ranking, not to mention being included in the “top of the top” in the entire world in our field. This was done totally without our knowledge or input, which makes it that much more important and amazing. They just researched us and apparently liked what they found. How cool is that?
The next time that we were investigated, was more recently. We were contacted by a company known as “Expertise.” We have been members of Expertise for a few years now. They are a site that grades and evaluates various businesses. Once they complete evaluating these businesses, they then list how each one ranks according to the following criteria:
- Availability
- Qualifications
- Reputation
- Experience
- Professionalism
According to their selection process (visit them at www.expertise.com for more information) they narrow down their findings in over 200 industries across the United States – with more than 600,000 businesses – to find the best and brightest in each field. This, in turn, will help you to choose the best person for your situation and/or need in that particular field.
In July of this year, we were apparently chosen to be anonymously reviewed and evaluated further (investigated if you will) to confirm that we were, in fact, one of the best in our field of Private Investigators. Specifically, they were checking on our “Professionalism” and how we dealt with our customers. They have specific criteria for judging a business’ Professionalism. According to their email, they rank each company’s professionalism according to each of the following:
- Responsiveness
- Friendliness
- Helpfulness
- Detail
They then hire someone to act as a “mystery shopper” in order to call each of the business providers pretending to be a potential customer to see how they are treated. Here is a small part of what they said to us in regards to our “report card” from our mystery shopper:
“Shopper Alexa spoke to Adam for Private Investigation Services. Answered the call immediately, was polite until the end of the call, and answered the questions. Responses were detailed and accurate. Offered a free initial consultation…”
I’m proud to say that we received an “A+” in every category. (My mom would be so proud, she would probably put it up on the fridge – best report card I ever got). So when we say that we have received an award for excellence from Expertise on our website, we are proud of the accomplishment that it represents. It also means that when you do see their logo on our website, or any other website, it is something that is earned, not just given to anyone that “joins their club” like some you may see on websites.
We, at Investigreat, are very proud of the recognition that we have been given by various companies. But our greatest accomplishment, we feel, is the reviews that we received from some of our clients. They are who we do this for. We pride ourselves on giving each case our best efforts so that our clients know that when they chose our company for a case, that they will be taken seriously and can expect to be treated well and with respect. We feel that EVERY person that contacts us deserves to be taken seriously and with respect. We have heard from some callers (especially those that become clients) about how they chose to go with us because we took them seriously and were sensitive to their situation and needs. We view that “review” just as important as the others we have mentioned.
So we genuinely appreciate being “investigated” by Expertise and Startup Story. It felt so good to be recognized for our hard work and achievements. But while we are “riding high” on our rankings with these groups, the ones that we truly take to heart are those from our clients. They are the reason we do what we do. Remember to turn to us when you need help with any investigative work you may need to be done, whether is a missing person, child support, surveillance, or even if you are being pro-active and having a background check done on someone you wish to do business with (which we highly recommend you do to make sure they are who they claim to be). Just don’t ask us to investigate “ourselves”. While we wouldn’t say “no”, that would be a bit weird.
