Our Story at Investigreat
Our Story - Back in 1992 Adam was working for a large third party insurance administrator that handled the insurance claims for a very large company. This is where Adam learned how to investigate automobile accidents, product liability cases, slip/trip and fall accidents, etc. His journey eventually took him from working in Nassau County on Long Island to Glastonbury, Connecticut, but still working on investigating claims. Throughout the years he moved up to handle more complex cases and investigations and his experience grew. He eventually began using his experience in the field by traveling to scenes and accident sites. This is when he realized his passion for investigative work. It was during this time that Adam discovered his true talent, and his desire to become a Private Investigator grew. To be able to work investigations of events where they happened was crucial - not to just sit at a desk but to go into the field and experience the setting in which it happened was key. But he wanted to do more. He wanted to be able to work with the public and help them with other investigative needs. Adam left the insurance industry and went to work for a Private Investigative firm and got his license. This is where he learned the critical skills to perform surveillances, how to utilize various exclusive databases and how to conduct missing persons investigations. This brought his skills to a whole new level. Eleven years ago, Adam took all that he had learned and experienced and formed his own company and Investigreat, LLC was born.
Throughout these years, Terri was always there, honing her skills as an investigator by observing and working with Adam on his cases. She learned everything she could about investigations through directly assisting Adam and also taking webinars and doing research into OSINT investigations. Eventually she became licensed as well and joined the Investigreat team, along with others along the way.
Investigreat continues to receive positive reviews from the public and businesses all over the New York City area and Connecticut. During the past few years other investigative groups such as Pursuit Magazine, Investigator’s Toolbox, CALI (California Association of Licensed Investigators) and PI Perspectives podcasts, etc. took notice of Investigreat’s successes and reached out to request interviews, publish articles and blogs, etc. They wanted to talk about their successes, not only for entertainment purposes, but to help other new investigators learn from the best. Investigreat continues to be one of the top Private Investigative Agencies in New York City, Long Island and Connecticut. Investigreat was also featured in “Starter Story” as one of the 100 Trending Private Investigator Businesses to Watch in 2021 where they were listed as number 12 in the world. So rest assured that when you hire Investigreat, you are hiring one of the best in the business. This is their story up to now and we cannot wait to see what the next chapter will bring. Our Approach at Investigreat
Our Approach - At Investigreat, we approach every case as seriously as our clients do. We do everything we can to get the answers that our clients deserve. While some investigative firms will simply print out a report from a database and move on, we work from several databases, compare results and then further research our results, sometimes even going to the location when needed to confirm the results before giving them to you, the customer. We go above and beyond to try and find out the answers to the questions we are asked by our clients. Helping people at a difficult time in their lives is what we are all about and why we do what we do.
When we take on a case, and we have received the necessary information from the client, we talk it through as a team to decide the best course of action to take. We have the client play an important role in this by supplying what will help us the most to achieve success with the case.
Our Values at Investigreat
Our Values - We will never take on a case if we do not feel we are able to do what the client wants. If it is not doable (or legal), we won’t take your case. We strive to be known for our integrity as much as our results. We also take a personal approach to working with our clients. You will not get an answering service - when you call you will be calling us, the owners, directly. You are dealing with the owners, not a clerk that has nothing to do with your case and is only interested in “making the sale”. We are proud that we are a “hands on” company that focuses on the success of each and every case.

Client Success Stories at Investigreat
Client Success Stories - There are too many stories to share here, but you should check out our blogs for more. Some of our very favorites are as follows:
Missing Persons - the time we were able to reunite a woman with her birth father. Her mother was in Japan and her father was a US soldier. They were in love, but when it came time for him to be deployed back to the US, her mother refused to leave Japan. So he went back without her, not knowing she was pregnant at the time. We actually tracked down the father and have a photo of them when they were reunited.
A Case Of NOT Cheating - A woman that was dating someone for a few years thought he might be cheating because he suddenly never had time to be with her and was always tired out when they were together. He claimed nothing was wrong but she could never reach him most weekend evenings. We discovered he was moonlighting at a restaurant to save up money for an engagement ring to surprise her.
Worker’s Compensation Fraud - We once followed someone around that was lifting heavy furniture, playing lacrosse with his kids, and water skiing without issue. We followed him the day of the hearing and he was running late. So he ran to his truck and jumped in, and when he got to the building he ran up to the steps carrying a neck brace and cane. Ran up the stairs, stopped, put on the brace and started slowly walking very gingerly into the building for the meeting.
Cheating Surveillance - We have countless times that we have caught people in the act, but one of our favorites was this couple in their 80’s. She thought he was cheating, because he never let her come along to events he went to with his friends. We followed him for weeks and he would always go alone. Never went off with anyone else, never did anything alone with anyone. Finally, after it seemed he was only guilty of not wanting her along, we caught him meeting his old girlfriend in the city. They hobbled along with their canes and held hands. We caught them kissing and sent the photos to the wife. When he got home he claimed it was an old friend and he was trying to hold her up. Too bad it was by her lips.
A Case That Did Not Happen - We were working with someone that wanted surveillance on his wife. She worked in a massage shop. He was concerned she was doing more than her job and meeting with people after work. He had not signed up yet, but was thinking it over. A few days later we received a call from the wife! She wanted to hire us to follow the husband because she felt he was cheating on her. We had to respectfully decline both cases at that point because we felt it was a conflict. While it would have been easy to do, it was not the right thing to do. We never revealed to either party why we declined. We simply said that we were booked up and that they will need to find another investigator. Sometimes you need to pass up a case in order to do the right thing for both parties involved.
